The Denitrification Deep Bed Filter is an innovative solution that seamlessly integrates denitrification and deep bed filtration processes into a single, efficient unit. This multifunctional system excels in removing biological nitrogen while simultaneously filtering impurities. Positioned strategically after the secondary sedimentation tank, it harmoniously works with other treatment units to provide comprehensive removal of nitrogen, phosphorus, and suspended particles. This advanced system not only elevates the quality of treated water but ensures environment-friendly operations.

Product Feature

Our state-of-the-art Denitrification Deep Bed Filter employs 2-3mm quartz sand as the medium for denitrification organisms, ensuring remarkable filtration performance. The system guarantees effluent with suspended solids (SS) less than 5mg/L. With a substantial specific surface area of the medium, it effectively traps 7.3kg of suspended solids per square meter during each filtration cycle. This high-solids load capacity significantly prolongs the filtration cycle, minimizing the frequency of backwashes. The filter employs a combination of air and water for backwashing, and the backwash water, being minimal at less than 4% of the plant's inflow, is directed back to the biological treatment unit. The exceptional solid interception capabilities of the filter bolster its efficiency and sustainability.
By utilizing an optimal amount of high-quality carbon source, the Denitrification Deep Bed Filter facilitates the transformation of NOx-N into N2 via denitrifying bacteria adhered to quartz sand. This process efficiently drives the nitrogen removal reaction, as nitrate nitrogen is consistently reduced to nitrogen gas. The resulting nitrogen accumulation in the filter enhances the interaction between microorganisms and water, boosting filtration efficiency. However, to prevent head loss caused by excessive nitrogen buildup, regular dispersion of nitrogen bubbles is necessary, ensuring restored flow conditions multiple times daily.
