Our Denitrification Deep Bed Filter utilizes precision-engineered 2-3mm quartz sand as the ideal medium for hosting denitrification organisms. The filter is meticulously designed to guarantee an effluent suspended solids concentration of less than 5mg/L. Thanks to the substantial specific surface area of the medium, this filter can trap a remarkable 7.3kg of solid suspension per square meter of filtration area during its backwash cycle interval. Its outstanding solid load capacity significantly prolongs the filtration cycle and minimizes backwash frequency. The unique gas and water backwashing system ensures optimal performance, recycling backwash water to the primary biological treatment section. With its superior solid load interception, backwash water usage is restricted to a mere 4% of the treatment plant's total water volume.
Harnessing a carefully calculated quantity of premium carbon source, our denitrification process enables denitrifying bacteria to adhere to the quartz sand surface, efficiently transforming NOx-N into harmless N2, thereby completing the nitrogen removal process. As nitrate nitrogen is progressively converted into nitrogen, the resulting accumulation enhances the interaction between microorganisms and the water flow, boosting filtration efficiency. However, caution is exercised to manage excess nitrogen bubbles, preventing head loss by dispersing nitrogen and restoring head levels multiple times daily.
