These vital biofilms flourish within the protected areas, optimizing their concentration and effectiveness.
The intricate design fosters a harmonious environment where anaerobic bacteria or facultative aerobes thrive internally, while aerobic bacteria flourish externally, creating an efficient biological ecosystem.
Each carrier acts as a self-contained micro-reactor. In aerobic treatment systems, through blast aeration, or in anaerobic systems, through stirring mechanisms,
this ensures that wastewater and biological carriers engage in extensive and frequent interactions. This process significantly boosts the system's efficiency,
while simultaneously enhancing the biofilm's microbial renewal. It maintains and elevates the biofilm's activity, promoting a vibrant ecosystem. The suspension carrier cultivates a
complex composite ecosystem alongside the original activated sludge. The biofilm attached to the carrier exponentially heightens the active biomass in the reactor.
The synergy between suspended activated sludge and the biofilm on the carrier's surface amplifies the system's resistance to impact loads,
thereby greatly enhancing sewage treatment efficiency and stabilizing effluent quality.
