Our state-of-the-art Denitrification Deep Bed Filter is engineered using 2 to 3mm quartz sand, serving as an optimal medium for denitrification organisms. This innovative design guarantees that the effluent suspended solids (SS) remain below an impressive 5mg/L. The medium's vast specific surface area is pivotal, allowing for the capture of 7.3kg of solid suspension per square meter during each filtration cycle. This high-load capacity not only extends the filtration cycle significantly but also minimizes backwash frequency. The filter employs an efficient gas and water backwashing method, ensuring that backwash water is recycled into the biological treatment unit, with water usage capped at just 4% of the treatment plant's capacity, thanks to the filter bed's exceptional solid interception performance.
By utilizing a precise amount of premium carbon source, our advanced filtration process allows denitrifying bacteria to thrive on the surface of quartz sand, efficiently converting NOx-N to harmless N2.
